Birla White Excel Putty is a white cement based putty which scores 94.5% on the hunter whiteness scale, providing ultimate whiteness and premium marble-like finish to your walls. It is a premium quality base coat that helps cover the porosity of highly absorptive cement substrates. It offers ultimate whiteness to your walls in order to enhance the performance of topcoat emulsions, and also gives your walls a marble-like finish. While the regular WallCare putty does provide a base coat, Excel Putty gives an increased coverage, higher whiteness, and premium finish. Additionally, it has pre-wetting-free property, which is first-of-its-kind in any white cement-based putty.
Mixing ratio: Slowly add 1kg Birla White Excel Putty with 45% clean water (1kg Birla White Excel Putty+450ml water) to make the paste. Mixing should be carried out preferably with a mechanical stirrer (3-5 minutes)/vigorous mixing manually using a metallic rod for 10-15 minutes to obtain a creamy consistency. Leave the paste for 5 minutes after thorough mixing to get best results. Prepared paste should be used within 3-3.5 hours.

Birla White WallSeal Waterproof Putty is a white cement-based putty with 2x water resistance and Active German Silicon Polymers which provides a strong base on a plaster/concrete and mortar wall surface before application of topcoat paint or distemper and protects your walls from water.

SURFACE PREPARATION: For best results, proper surface preparation is essential. Newly plastered surfaces should be allowed to cure completely. The roof must have positive slope/drainage system to avoid water ponding at places. The surface to be painted should be clean, dry and free from dust, dirt or loose particles, grease, chalking, etc. Remove all existing bitumen coating completely. Any previous growth of fungus, algae or moss needs to be removed thoroughly. It is recommended to use vigorous wire brushing, vacuum cleaner and high-pressure water-jet-cleaning for thorough cleaning of the surface to avoid Peeling off problems.The substrate must be tested for its soundness using small hammer. All cracks at corner joints, channels, and parapets should be properly treated.Fill the cracks up to 3 mm using crack filling compound. Bigger cracks, damaged portions, and hollow areas must be repaired with polymer modified cement mortar. APPLICATION PRIMING COAT: Dilute a litre of Astral Damp Safe Plus with 300 ml water and apply a self priming coat of it as per suggested coverage of 5.5 - 6.0 sq.m/litre/coat and let it dry for 4 - 6 hours. WATERPROOFING COAT: Apply two undiluted coats of Astral Damp Safe Plus perpendicular to each other at 1.8 - 2.2 sq.m/litre/coat and let it dry for 4 - 6 hours in between coat. HORIZONTAL SURFACES PRIMING COAT: Dilute a litre of Astral Damp Safe Plus with 300 ml water and apply a coat as apply a coat of it as per suggested coverage of 9.3 - 11.6 sq.m/litre/coat and let it dry for 4 - 6 hours. Waterproofing Coat: Apply one undiluted coat of Astral Damp Safe Plus at 2.7 - 3.2 sq.m/litre/coat and let it dry for 4 - 6 hours. Apply 2 coats of Extura Plus/Extura Premium Exterior Emulsion as per recommended dilution. VERTICAL SURFACES : NEW EXTERIOR SURFACE Waterproofing Coat: Apply one undiluted coat of Astral Damp Safe Plus at 2.7 - 3.2 sq.m/litre/coat and let it dry for 4 - 6 hours. Apply 2 coats of Extura Plus/Extura Premium Exterior Emulsion as per recommended dilution. REPAINTING EXTERIOR SURFACE WATERPROOFING **Actual coverage may vary from the quoted coverage due to factors such as method and condition of application and surface roughness and porosity. Coverage Horizontal Surface Primer Coat - 5.5 - 6.0 sq.m/litre/coat Waterproof Coating - 1.8 - 2.2 sq.m/litre/coat Vertical Surface Primer Coat - 9.3 - 11.6 sq.m/litre/coat Waterproof Coating - 2.7 - 3.2 sq.m/litre/coat On normal masonry surface by brush/roller/spray Smooth Finish Areas of Application Matt Terrace Sunshades Concrete Roof Vertical Walls For the best performance of the paint, ensure proper washing and cleaning of all algae and fungal growth at regular intervals of six months.
